"Age Action Ireland" is the national independent organisation on ageing and older people, their main aim is to improve the quality of life of older people, especially those who are most disadvantaged and vulnerable, by enabling them to live full, independent and satisfying lives, for as long as they wish in their own homes or in alternative appropriate accommodation.
Age Action currently employes over 60 people, has 35 volunteers and has over 1,200 members including older people as well as statutory, voluntary, private and professional bodies supporting or representing them. Lorraine Dorgan, Deputy Chief Executive of Age Action, was responsible for the implementation of VIP HR Manager. The object was to implement a user friendly Human Resource system that would provide managers with relevant reports and up to date HR information. "The main attraction of VIP HR Manager was the ability to run regular reports on absenteeism, and to have up to date information on all of our employees and volunteers in the one centralised database", according to Lorraine. "VIP HR Manager has helped us to meet our business needs by providing reports which are circulated to managers with up to date information on annual leave, absenteesim and annual reviews". The deciding factors for choosing VIP HR Manager over other personnel systems was the ease of running detailed reports, and the user friendliness of the system. |
