OVER 11,000 DAYS LOST TO INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES

According to the Central Statistics Office, more than 11,000 working days were lost to industrial disputes in Ireland during the first four months of this year.

Fewer than 1,500 days were lost during the same period last year.  

The CSO said the public administration and defence sector accounted for 94% of the total days lost since January.
